MIS-Asia - NXP opens R&D centre in Singapore
"NXP Semiconductors today launched its research and development (R&D) centre in Singapore.
One of the projects the company intends to focus on with the new facility is developing “Car-to-X detection to increase safe driving” in collaboration with A*STAR (Agency for Science Technology and Research). NXP also said it plans to collaborate with institutes to develop smart environment sensors in buildings to improve energy efficiency.
NXP said it plans to invest more than US$16 million (S$20 million) in the new facility and employ 50 employees."
